USA Virtual Benefits and Wellness Expo begins
The virtual expo includes both live Q&A sessions and on-demand videos for viewing at home.
University of South Alabama and USA Health employees can learn about benefits and wellness initiatives by going online and participating in the USA Virtual Benefits & Wellness Expo now through Friday, Nov. 6.
The virtual expo includes both live Q&A sessions and on-demand videos for viewing at home. USA and USA Health employees may choose which sessions to attend, with supervisory approval, during normal work hours. Employees can access all sessions by visiting the Calendar of Events on the USA Human Resources webpage.
“Employees will be able to interact with vendors and ask questions by Zoom,” said Jelicka Caldwell, senior benefits consultant at USA. Caldwell said that participants will be eligible to win prizes based on attendance in the live sessions.
The web-based expo includes live Zoom sessions with benefits vendor representatives and human resources benefits consultants. Representatives will be available from the Retirement Systems of Alabama, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama, HealthEquity, TIAA, AIG/VALIC, Express Scripts, The Standard and USA Health.
Learning about benefits can help inform employees’ decisions during open enrollment for health insurance plans and SouthFlex, the flexible spending account. Open enrollment began Nov. 1 and ends Nov. 30 at 4:30 p.m.
Employees who do not wish to make changes to their health insurance are not required to re-enroll in those plans. However, SouthFlex participants must re-enroll each year. All changes take effect Jan. 1, 2021.
In addition to expo resources, employees can learn more about benefits by visiting the online 2021 Benefits & Wellness Open Enrollment Guide.
