Volunteers are needed March 6 for USA Health’s follow-up mass vaccination clinic focusing on educators. More than 2,000 educators and school support staff received their first dose of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine on Feb. 13. See photos from the first educator clinic.
The clinic is planned for the Mobile Civic Center arena in downtown Mobile.
More than 50 volunteers are needed to serve two shifts from: 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. About 100 volunteers already have signed up.
Both clinical and non-clinical staff members from USA Health and USA, as well as College of Medicine students and others are needed to do everything from administering the vaccine to observing patients after the shot, to directing traffic and handing out patient information.
Volunteers will be provided with meals and drinks during their shift. All volunteers who sign up will receive a follow-up email regarding parking and additional details.
