Construction workers make progress on the Mapp Family Campus at the southeast corner of state highways 181 and 104 in Fairhope. The campus will be home to an ambulatory surgery center and a physician office building.

Michael L. Sternberg, M.D., will lead the organization, which provides representation for more than 1,000 physicians practicing in Mobile County to the state’s medical association and advocates for many public service programs.
Presented during an event in Birmingham in December, the award was part of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama’s $1.125 million investment in state-based research in 2024.
