Construction crews at University Hospital are remodeling the space that was the emergency department prior to the opening of the Fanny Meisler Trauma Center. The renovated space will house a 13,886-square-foot, state-of-the-art operating suite featuring four operating rooms, a hybrid operating room, and 12 additional post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) beds. It is expected to open in fall 2023.
