Open enrollment for benefits is a perfect time to establish a relationship with a primary care provider, who can diagnose and treat a broad array of illnesses and injuries.

USA Health’s Department of Family Medicine offers a new weight management program led by a primary care physician.

Ann Payne-Johnson, M.D., family medicine physician at USA Health, has more than 20 years of experience in weight management, primary care and emotional wellness. In addition to her primary care duties, Johnson offers preventative visits that address risk factors and educates patients on ways to better manage their health.

“I want to ensure that we offer appropriate care to patients of all ages,” Johnson said. “I offer non-surgical treatment and prevention tips that are easy for patients to manage and maintain.”

Open enrollment for USA Health and USA employees ends Tuesday, Nov. 30.

“We want all employees to take advantage of this new service in family medicine,” said Allen Perkins, M.D., M.P.H., professor and chair of family medicine at the USA College of Medicine and a family medicine physician at USA Health. “It’s critical for everyone to address any problems concerning their health, such as weight issues. We are pleased to offer this service.”

To schedule an appointment with Johnson, call the Department of Family Medicine at 251-434-3475.
