Services Offered at Mastin Internal Medicine

At Mastin Internal Medicine, we offer a variety of primary and specialty care services to adult patients. Our clinics are located inside the Mastin Patient Care Center.

Primary Care

USA Health has the largest number of internal medicine primary care physicians in our region. Those located at Mastin Internal Medicine provide convenient, patient-centered care to adult patients in Midtown.

Nephrology

Nephrology refers to diseases and disorders of the kidney. We treat patients with lupus and other autoimmune disorders, high blood pressure, diabetes, polycystic kidney disease, chronic kidney disease and kidney failure. Many of the diseases that affect your kidneys are systemic, meaning they affect your whole body.

Nutrition Care

For patients with either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, proper nutrition is key. Some symptoms of Type 2 diabetes can be alleviated or even eliminated with changes in diet.

Pulmonology and Critical Care Medicine

Our pulmonologists diagnose and treat diseases of the lungs and respiratory system. Problems affecting the lungs and breathing are among those most disruptive to our quality of life. In some cases, pulmonary disorders such as asthma, pulmonary hypertension and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) are life-threatening.

Sickle Cell Care

Sickle cell disease, an inherited disorder, causes red blood cells to lose their ability to carry oxygen. Episodic pain events, infection and lung complications are common problems caused by sickle cell disease. Complications may include stroke, kidney failure, damage to joints and other debilitating conditions.

Sleep Medicine

Our sleep medicine specialists study, diagnosis and treat various sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, narcolepsy, insomnia, sleepwalking and restless leg syndrome. Patient consultations are conducted in Mastin Patient Care Center. They may then be referred to a nearby sleep center for additional studies.
