Par 3 Golf Tournament to raise funds for USA Health Mitchell Cancer Institute

The USA Health Mitchell Cancer Institute, the only academic cancer research and treatment facility in the region, will be the beneficiary of a charitable golf tournament to be held May 2 at Magnolia Grove. The tournament is sponsored by Lexus of Mobile.
“The Par 3 Golf Tournament will be a fun day for the community to come out and support the Mitchell Cancer Institute,” said Craig Mathews, general manager of Lexus of Mobile. “Win anywhere from $10,000 to $25,000 on every hole or another great prize. In fact, we had a $15,000 winner last year. So put a team together and come out to Magnolia Grove to support a great cause.”
Tournament proceeds will benefit critical clinical needs at the Mitchell Cancer Institute.
“Our mission is to discover, develop and deliver innovative solutions to improve cancer outcomes,” said Brian Persing, M.D., division director of medical oncology at the Mitchell Cancer Institute. “The oncologists at USA Health are experienced at giving patients every opportunity to fight, overcome and survive cancer diagnoses. We are thankful to supporters, like Lexus of Mobile, who work to bring the community together with events like the Par 3 Golf Tournament. We want to provide the best services for our patients, and we need your help.”
Tournament registration and lunch begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by tee off at 1 p.m. All tournament players are invited to attend the post-tournament awards presentation and reception. Prizes will be awarded at every hole. A high-value Closest to the Pin Prize will be awarded, and a Hole-In-One Prize opportunity will be available at every hole. The Hole-In-One Prizes are sponsored by Lexus of Mobile.
