She now joins USA Health as part of the trauma team with a passion for quality of life outcomes for burn patients. She is also interested in abdominal wall reconstruction and pursuing cardiopulmonary trauma research.
The new center has 38 examination rooms and three expansive trauma bays. To increase efficiency, CT and X-ray imaging are located within the center.
Slauterbeck, who has an almost 30-year career in orthopaedics, envisions a more diverse department where he plans to promote and recruit staff, residents and medical students. He also plans to build on the foundation already in place for providing exceptional patient care.
