Pediatric Infusion Center

Formerly known as the USS Hope, the Pediatric Infusion Center at USA Health Children's & Women's Hospital uses distraction therapy to give young patients the feeling of traveling in a submarine during their visit. It is the only facility of its kind in the region, where a variety of infusion therapies are offered to children with illnesses including sickle cell disease, cancer, arthritis, and other disorders that require infusions. The center features bright and cheerful colors, comfortable seating, televisions and handheld computers, plus a fish tank and visits from child life therapists to help relieve patient and caregiver anxieties.

The Pediatric Infusion Center is located on the first floor of Children's & Women's Hospital. For more information, contact us at 251-415-1361.

Giving to the Pediatric Infusion Center

There is a growing need for the services the Pediatric Infusion Center offers, but not enough funding to keep up. To make a tax-deductible donation or learn more about how you can support this important location, contact the Hospital Development Office at cwhdevelop@southalabama.edu or 251-460-7032.
