About Preventative Care
Establishing a relationship with a primary care physician is one of the most important things you can do for your health. Our family physicians provide primary care services that include well visits, immunizations, preventative screenings and chronic disease management.
During a well visit, your family physician will perform a comprehensive health evaluation, which may include evaluation of the heart and lungs, blood tests, breast and pelvic exams for women, prostate and hernia exams for men, urine test and a blood pressure evaluation. Your well visit may also include screenings for cancer and sexually transmitted infections.
As vaccines prevent the spread of disease and protect you from illness, our physicians offer immunizations for children, adults and seniors that include vaccines for childhood diseases, flu, pneumonia, meningitis, shingles and polio. Our family physicians can also help you manage chronic diseases and conditions such as allergies, diabetes, obesity and arthritis.
