Therapy Services at USA Health
When a patient undergoes surgery, experiences trauma, suffers a stroke or loses certain functions due to chronic problems such as arthritis, they may benefit from a specialized treatment plan from an occupational therapist or a physical therapist. USA Health offers such therapy services on an inpatient or outpatient basis.
Physical Therapy
This type of rehabilitative healthcare helps patients in the relief of pain and to regain physical abilities and motor function through specialized equipment and exercises. Physical therapists (PTs) can help patients learn to walk again, strengthen or improve flexibility in lower limbs, and improve balance.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapists (OTs) help patients adapt to the changes and limitations caused by an illness or accident. For example, OTs can help patients improve cognitive abilities after a stroke or learn how to perform typical daily activities when confined to a wheelchair.
