USA Health infectious disease specialists care for patients who have various types of infections caused by organisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi or parasites.
Through our clinical care and research, we strive to find more advanced treatments and, ultimately, cures for infections. Along with educating our patients on signs, symptoms and prevention of infectious diseases, we also promote awareness throughout our community in efforts to prevent the spread of diseases. We also operate a travel clinic for people who may be going abroad and require certain vaccinations for diseases not common in this country.

Our infectious disease specialists treat patients with all types of infections, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), tropical diseases, E. coli from contaminated food and water, tuberculosis and pneumonia. At USA Health, we treat as many as 90 percent of patients from the upper Gulf Coast region who are infected with HIV/AIDS.
Our experts treat all types of infectious diseases in children. Most infections are spread from direct contact with other infected people or animals or from germs on doorknobs, toys, tabletops or other inanimate objects. However, a mother can also pass along infections to her unborn child.
USA Health infectious disease providers specialize in every area of infectious disease.
