“I look forward to using the knowledge and skills I gain from this program to advocate for improved healthcare services in rural communities, especially those in Mobile and along the Gulf Coast,” said Janel Lowman.
About Psychiatry at USA Health
Those with mental health needs have a new resource on the Gulf Coast. Michael Marshall, M.D., recently joined the staff of USA Health Mobile Diagnostic Center as a psychiatrist. Marshall has special interests in adult psychiatric conditions including anxiety, mood and psychotic disorders, trauma-related disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders and personality disorders.
The USA Department of Psychiatry also partners with AltaPointe Health Systems, the second-largest community behavioral health provider in the Southeast, allowing us to offer a comprehensive range of both inpatient and outpatient services for adults and children. Together, we make sure that everyone in our community can get the help that they need.
USA Health offers experienced outpatient care for common mental health conditions.
Anxiety and depression are two of the most common mental health issues that people face. For adults dealing with anxiety and depression, we provide experienced outpatient care including cognitive behavioral psychotherapy and drug therapy.
We partner with AltaPointe Health Systems to provide psychiatric care for patients under 18.
Patients under the age of 18 find a full range of care for a variety of mental health issues through our affiliation with AltaPointe Health Systems. To find out more about AltaPointe’s pediatric psychiatry care, call (251) 450-2211.
